The Memory Machine

By purchasing the Memory Machine ("the Product"), you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

1. WHAT YOU'RE BUYING

The Memory Machine is a digital product: instructions, files and video lessons that work with Claude, an AI assistant made by Anthropic, to sort copies of photos on your own computer. It is delivered as a video course in Skool, where you download everything. No physical product will be shipped. It isn't a standalone app, a backup service or an editing tool, and we don't sort your photos for you.

2. WHAT YOU NEED

You need a Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or newer) on macOS 14 or newer, the base paid Claude subscription (not included, paid to Anthropic separately), an internet connection, and enough free storage for the copies it makes. These requirements are shown before you buy. If your computer or Claude account doesn't meet them, that isn't a fault with the Product.

3. YOUR CHOICE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

You choose whether to buy and use the Memory Machine, and you use it at your own risk. Before you start, it's up to you to decide whether you're comfortable using an AI service with your photos, choose which folders you point it at and what you share with Claude, check your Claude privacy settings and Anthropic's terms, make a full backup of your photos, and check what it has sorted before you print, share or delete anything.

4. CLAUDE AND ANTHROPIC

Claude is made and run by Anthropic, not by us, and we're not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic. Your Claude subscription is a separate agreement between you and Anthropic, and their terms and privacy policy apply to it. Anthropic can change Claude's features, limits or price at any time, which may change how the Memory Machine works. We're not responsible for Claude's availability, performance or answers, or for anything Anthropic does with your information.

5. YOUR PHOTOS AND PRIVACY

Tales Told never receives, stores or sees your photos. The Memory Machine works on your computer through your own Claude account. To sort your photos, Claude may read file names, folder names, dates and other photo details, and may look at the photos themselves. Whatever Claude reads is handled by Anthropic, not us. You're responsible for your own privacy settings, the security of your computer and accounts, and only sorting photos you have the right to keep and use, including photos of other people and children.

6. COPIES, NOT MOVES

The Memory Machine is designed to copy your photos into new folders and leave your originals where they are. Photos it isn't sure about are set aside, not deleted. Any software that works with your files still carries risk, so you're responsible for your own backups and for anything you delete, move or edit afterwards.

7. RESULTS

The Memory Machine uses AI to make choices, and AI makes mistakes. It may miss photos, keep ones you'd skip, set aside ones you love, or file photos in the wrong folder. We don't promise any particular result, time saving or number of photos sorted. You get the final say, so check before you print.

8. REFUND POLICY

Please choose carefully. Because this is a digital product you can access straight away, we don't offer refunds if you change your mind, buy by mistake, don't have the right computer or Claude subscription, don't use it, or decide it isn't for you.

9. PERSONAL USE ONLY

Your purchase gives you a personal licence to use the Memory Machine for your own photos. You can't share, resell, copy or upload the files, course or instructions, use them for paid client work, or use them to build a competing product. Everything in it remains the intellectual property of Tales Told / Fable & Fig. We may remove access where we reasonably believe it has been shared, resold or distributed.

10. ACCESS AND UPDATES

You'll get access to the course in Skool once your payment goes through. Access lasts for as long as we run the course, so download your files when you join and keep your own copy. We may update the Memory Machine, but we don't promise updates or that it will keep working with future versions of macOS or Claude.

11. PROMOTIONAL PRICING

The launch price is available for a limited time. Buying at one price doesn't entitle you to a refund, credit or price adjustment if the Product is later offered at a different price, except where required by law.

12. OUR LIABILITY

As far as the law allows, we're not liable for any loss or damage from buying or using the Memory Machine, including lost, damaged, mixed-up or wrongly sorted photos, lost data, loss of sentimental value, printing costs, Claude subscription costs or lost time. We're not liable for anything caused by Claude, Anthropic, Skool, Flodesk, your computer or any other service you use with it, or for any indirect or consequential loss. If we are liable, our total liability is limited to the price you paid for the Memory Machine.

14. AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or changes any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or similar laws where you live, that can't lawfully be excluded. This clause overrides every other clause.

By ticking the Terms & Conditions checkbox and completing payment, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions, that you understand the Memory Machine needs a Mac with Apple silicon and the base paid Claude subscription (not included), that you use it at your own risk, and that change-of-mind refunds are not offered, subject always to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
